Wake Up to the Battle

A WORD IN SEASON ~ Wake Up to the Battle
by Patricia Hamel ~ November 14, 2008

God has given you the ability through Him to detect the working of God, the flesh and the working of the enemy. You need to have your senses exercised to discern between good and evil. God has given you the gift of the discerning of spirits so that you are not left helpless in this battle but are able to fight and win.

As a child living on a radar station there was the understanding that the radar detected the enemy. It kept going back and forth slowly in one direction and the other. Likewise God has given His children spiritual antenna to detect the enemy. Daily you need to have your eyes on the Lord and at the same time your spiritual antenna need to be alert and operating picking up any sign of the enemy. Is your shield of faith up and ready to combat any darts that come your way?

Are you daily praying in the spirit? The more that you use your prayer language the more it will flow and the more revelation you will receive from the Lord.

With your spiritual antenna up you will be alert and picking up the enemy before he is even visible. Put on the whole armor of God and walk in truth and righteousness. In faith begin to move by His spirit and determine to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. Your sword needs to be sharp and ready for battle so stop and feast in the Word of God today.

The Lord is saying today to begin use what He has given you, exercising your senses to discern between good and evil. He is saying to start shutting all doors on the enemy
and that He will make you aware of the doors that you need to close.

Pray daily for the discerning of spirits to be honed sharp in you. It is the only way that you will make it through the battle in victory and walk as an overcomer. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14 (NKJV)
