A State of Desperation

A State of Desperation

by Lonnie Mackley Mar. 19th, 2014

2CO 1:8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.

Many of the wilderness remnant are experiencing a profound state of desperation right now with overwhelming trials, sicknesses, financial needs, and relationship issues. They are desperate to hear from God, and desperate for relief from their seemingly unbearable situations. And on top of all this, God’s presence and voice seems very far away right now. But this only “seems” that way.

2CO 1: 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

The Lord has actually been bringing us to a state of greater faith and repentance through what appears to be an unending nightmare of difficulties. It’s time to seek God in a deeper way through prayer and worship whether you feel like it or not, or whether you have had much success in the past. If you will pray, the Lord will meet you in a new way now, and breakthrough will finally come.

1PE 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
